🌿 Adventure Kit

for The Duck Who Thought He Was a Chicken
A simple line drawing of a small yellow duck at the edge of a pond with chickens watching from the grass, for colouring

🎨 Colour Doug and His Family

Doug the duck is standing at the edge of the pond, looking at the water with curiosity. Behind him, a group of chickens watches from the grass. Colour Doug yellow, the chickens brown and white, the pond blue, and the grass a soft green. What else do you see in the picture? A tree? A flower? A butterfly? Let your imagination fill the farm.

🦆 A Pond Visit

If you can, visit a pond or a small body of water near you. Sit quietly and watch. What do you see? What do you hear? Draw or write about what you notice.

If you cannot visit a pond, look at a bowl of water. How does the light move on the surface? What does water feel like on your hands?

🌿 Discover Something New

Think of something you have never done before — like trying a new food, learning a new game, or making a new friend. What might it feel like to try it? Is it a little scary? A little exciting?

Talk to someone about it. Sometimes, discovering something new is easier when you have someone to cheer you on — just like the chickens cheered for Doug.

💭 A Question to Wonder About

“What is something you discovered about yourself — that surprised everyone, including you?”

Let your thoughts wander — there is no wrong answer.

🕊️ A Quiet Certificate

“I know that being different does not mean belonging less.”

Write your name and the date — and keep it as a reminder that you are special, just the way you are.

🌿 A quiet invitation to wonder — for little ones and their grown-ups.
